Two Thieves Caused Drama in Naivasha as One Was Seen Eating Grass While Grazing a Cow He Had Stolen.

In a peculiar incident in Naivasha, two individuals accused of theft attracted significant attention when one was discovered grazing a cow he had allegedly stolen, while simultaneously consuming grass himself. This unusual behavior left the local community both astonished and intrigued.

This event is not isolated; similar occurrences have been reported across various regions. In Turi Division, near Molo Town, two suspected cattle thieves began eating grass after ingesting a concoction provided by a witch doctor.

The traditional healer’s mixture was intended to expose habitual cattle rustlers, leading the suspects to not only consume grass but also reenact their thefts, much to the amazement of hundreds of onlookers.

In another instance, residents of Trans Nzoia County witnessed a man, accused of livestock theft, walking on all fours and eating grass along the Kitale-Eldoret Highway.

This behavior emerged two weeks after a local farmer’s bull was stolen and slaughtered. The farmer had vowed to teach the culprits a lesson, leading many to believe that the man’s actions were a direct consequence of the farmer’s resolve.

Similarly, in Kimilili Sub-County, Khwitosi village residents were taken aback when three young men, suspected of cattle theft, started eating grass and mimicking cow behaviors.

This followed the administration of a concoction by a traditional healer, summoned by a farmer desperate to recover his stolen cow. The suspects confessed to the theft after their bizarre display, attributing their actions to the influence of the witch doctor’s mixture.

These incidents highlight a recurring pattern where communities, frustrated by conventional law enforcement’s inability to curb livestock theft, turn to traditional methods.

The involvement of witch doctors and the subsequent peculiar behaviors of the accused serve both as a form of justice and a deterrent to potential thieves. While these methods are unconventional, they underscore the lengths to which affected individuals will go to protect their property and seek retribution.

It’s essential to approach such events with a critical perspective, recognizing the cultural contexts in which they occur. While these stories captivate public imagination, they also raise questions about the ethics and effectiveness of using traditional practices in modern justice systems.
