5 Police Stations Set to Auction Vehicles, Bicycles And Cows

Several police stations across the country are preparing to auction a wide range of unclaimed items, including motor vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and even cows.

Two auctioneering firms, Windsor Auctioneers and Makys Auctioneers, have officially announced the upcoming sales involving more than 160 unclaimed items.

Items to Be Auctioned Across Five Police Stations

In a public notice published in the Kenya Gazette on April 25, 2025, Windsor Auctioneers and Makys Auctioneers revealed their plans to auction items that have remained at various police stations without being claimed.

These items are currently held at Spring Valley Police Station, Athi River Police Station, Mogotio Police Station, Subuiga Police Station, and Kilifi Police Station.

According to the notice, if the owners do not step forward within the specified timelines, the items will be sold through public auction.

Motorcycles at Makongeni Police Station Also Listed for Auction

Windsor Auctioneers noted that 25 motorcycles, which have been lying at the Makongeni Police Station, will be auctioned if they are not claimed within the next 14 days.

The brands of the motorcycles include popular names like Boxer, TVS, Shinery, Bajaj, Honda, Ranger, and Skygo.

Spring Valley Police Station: Motorcycles and a Mercedes-Benz on the List

At Spring Valley Police Station, Windsor Auctioneers plans to auction 21 motorcycles along with one Mercedes-Benz vehicle.

The motorcycles lined up for sale are from a variety of brands, including Honda, Bajaj, Dayun, Yamaha, Sunrise, Premier, Haujin, TVS, and Kingbird. A number of bicycles are also part of the list.

The auctioneers stated that the sale will proceed within 14 days if the rightful owners do not come forward.

Athi River Police Station to Auction Cars and Motorcycles

In addition, Windsor Auctioneers announced they would auction eight motor vehicles and twelve motorcycles currently at Athi River Police Station within 30 days if they remain unclaimed.

The motorcycles at Athi River include brands such as Lion, Skygo, TVS, and Boxer. As for the vehicles, the list features models like Nissan AD, a burnt car shell, Toyota Mark II, Toyota Raum, Toyota Premio-Corona, Toyota Premio, Mazda Demio, and Nissan Caravan.

Mogotio Police Station to Dispose of Motorcycles, Bicycles, and Burnt Vehicles

Mogotio Police Station has a significant number of items to be auctioned as well. The auctioneers stated that within 14 days, they will sell off 26 motorcycles, six of which are considered scrap. Also included are 15 assorted bicycles and two burnt-out vehicle shells.

Brands of motorcycles set for auction at Mogotio include Boxer, TVS, Focin, Kingbird, Commuter, and Kaboom.

Subuiga Police Yard Includes a Calf in the Auction

Makys Auctioneers, on their part, have announced the auctioning of two vehicles, 31 motorcycles, a number of bicycles, and even a Frisian calf, all of which are currently held at the Subuiga Police Yard.

The auction will take place within 30 days if no claims are made.

The motor vehicles listed are a Probox and a Prado, while the motorcycles include brands such as Captain, Tiger, Shinnery, Chingchen, Sonelink, Dayun, Skygo, and Yamaha.

More Motorcycles and a Tuk-Tuk to Go Under the Hammer

Finally, the auctioneers indicated that within the next 14 days, they will auction 22 motorcycles and a tuk-tuk. Motorcycle brands for this auction include Zongshen, Haujin, Boxer, FHM, and TVS.

Owners still have a short window to claim their property before the auction process begins in earnest.
