In a related move, Mbadi also reappointed Molu Koropu Tepo and Francis Nkako to the Board of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), each for another three-year term. These appointments are part of efforts to maintain continuity and expertise within the country’s central statistics agency.
Additionally, the CS made a new appointment to the KNBS board by naming Professor Kennedy Ogolla as a board member for a three-year period, beginning June 5.
The KNBS board is mandated to oversee the gathering, analysis, and publication of national statistical data, as well as to coordinate the National Statistical System (NSS).
