
Rachel Ruto played host to a gathering of notable figures including Museveni’s daughter and women lawmakers for a solemn Convocation Prayer Day.
The President’s spouse, Pastor Dorcas Gachagua on Wednesday, May 28, 2024, joined women leaders for the national convocation prayer day.
During her address, Pastor Patience Museveni, serving as the chief guest, urged attendees to emulate various figures from the Bible and to stand in the gap for their communities.
Encouraging women to embrace their roles as intercessors, “It is important to pray for your family, nation and if the continent of Africa, while drawing inspiration from biblical examples.”
Referencing passages from Isaiah and the story of Daniel, she highlighted Africa’s redemptive purpose and challenged women in leadership to discern the times and seize opportunities for positive change.
Pastor Dorcas Rigathi reported that the sons of Issachar were noted for their undertanding of the seasons.
She conveyed a call for national repentance and adoption of Daniel’s posture of prayer to usher in the new season.
