Kenyan celebrity couple, Bahati and Diana have made waves by announcing their upcoming reality show, ‘The Bahati’s Empire,’ slated to premier on Netflix.
According to a recent post by Diana Marua, she announced a new reality show featuring her family that will soon be available on Netflix.
“We were the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on national TV with ‘Being Bahati’ on NTV, and now, we’re making history as the first Kenyan family to have a reality show on Netflix. All glory goes to our Lord Jesus Christ.”
The show showcases a lineup of prominent Kenyan celebrities, such as nominated senator Karen Nyamu, comedian Terence Creative, actress Jackie Matubia, and Diana’s sisters.
“It’s official! #TheBahatisEmpire, the first Kenyan/East African reality show on Netflix, is set to premiere on Friday, June 7th, 2024. Get ready because the king and queen of reality are back, ready to address all your rumors and share our raw, authentic moments with the world!” Diana wrote.
In the trailer teasing their upcoming Netflix show, Bahati and his wife, Diana Marua, have caused a stir with their candid confessions, leaving fans abuzz.
In a tearful confessional during the trailer, Diana revealed allegedly terminating two pregnancies, while Bahati stirred intrigue by suggesting the children were not his, fueling fan curiosity and speculation.
Opinions on the couple’s Netflix deal vary. While some Kenyans offered congratulations, others criticized them for what they saw as unnecessary clout chasing. Yet, a segment of their fanbase argues that the show has ample potential to thrive on its own merits.
