A harrowing incident unfolded at Ragumo Police Station in Kisumu County on Monday, June 10, 2024, as a man armed with a machete and a pair of scissors stormed the premises, launching a vicious attack on unsuspecting officers.
According to a police report, the assailant, identified as Nicholas Agai, 25, approached the station in a frenzied state, shouting and yelling as he brandished his weapons.
As officers, led by the Officer in Charge of the Station (OCS), attempted to contain the situation, Agai turned violent, assaulting the officers with his weapons.

One officer suffered a stab wound to the left side of his chest and was rushed to Greys Medical Center Kisumu in critical condition, while two others sustained injuries to their hands.
Despite attempts by the officers to deter the assailant by firing warning shots into the air, Agai refused to retreat or surrender. Eventually, law enforcement managed to subdue him and place him under arrest, bringing the chaotic ordeal to an end.

The officer attempted to address a traffic violation when the driver of a vehicle became hostile, ultimately assaulting the officer with blows and kicks after brandishing a sword.
