Deputy President Gachagua made an unexpected move on Tuesday when he boarded a Kenya Airways commercial flight to Mombasa, signaling a departure from the usual protocol of government officials traveling via private jets.
Gachagua’s destination is the Sarova Whitesands Hotel, where he is slated to inaugurate the International Scientific Conference of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya.
The conference, which commenced on June 10 and will run until June 14, aims to delve into Kenya’s local pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
Attendees will explore various facets of the industry, including strides towards self-sufficiency, the healthcare impact of local production, regulatory challenges, and successful strategies.
Gachagua’s participation underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the pharmaceutical sector’s growth and fostering discussions on enhancing healthcare accessibility and quality in the country.
Stay tuned for updates on the conference’s proceedings and the Deputy President’s address tomorrow.
