Authorities in Nairobi are investigating the discovery of a decomposed body belonging to a Nigerian national, Charles Uzoma Anyiehe, 65, found in his apartment in the Nyama Villa area of Kayole.
The grim find was made on July 8 after locals reported a foul odor emanating from the residence.
Upon receiving the complaint, police swiftly responded to the scene and forcibly entered the apartment where they uncovered the deceased’s remains.
Identification documents belonging to Charles Uzoma Anyiehe were recovered from the scene, confirming his identity.
“The body had significantly decomposed, making it difficult to ascertain the cause of death at this stage,” police officials stated.
Anyiehe, reportedly living alone, had no apparent signs of foul play, though investigations into the circumstances surrounding his death are ongoing.
The body has since been transferred to the mortuary, where a detailed autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death and provide further insights into the case.
