President William Ruto has officially submitted the names of 11 Cabinet nominees to Parliament for consideration and approval.
The list was conveyed to the House by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula as Parliament resumed sittings after a month-long break.
Ruto’s submission follows his July 19 announcement of a new Cabinet, a week after dismissing 21 previous members, excluding Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
Among the nominees, six are from the former Cabinet icluding;
- Aden Duale, who was reassigned from Defence to the Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry.
- Kithure Kindiki (Interior)
- Davis Chirchir (Roads and Transport)
- Alice Wahome (Lands, Public Works, Housing, and Urban Development).
New nominees include;
- Eric Muriithi Muuga (Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation)
- Margaret Nyambura Ndung’u (Information, Communication, and the Digital Economy)
- Debra Mlongo Barasa (Health)
- Julius Migos Ogamba (Education)
- Andrew Mwihia Karanja (Agriculture and Livestock Development).
