A tragic incident occurred in Lake Victoria where a boat carrying officers who had attended an event with President William Ruto capsized.
The officers were part of the security team deployed for the event on Mageta Island in Kisumu’s Bondo Subcounty.
As the boat made its return journey to Kisumu, it capsized, possibly due to rough waters or overcrowding.
Fortunately, all four officers on board were rescued and are now recovering in the hospital. Despite the tense situation, there were no fatalities.
