Armed Youths Storm Police Station, Disappear With Safe Box Containing Hundreds of Title Deeds. Watch

A shocking incident recently occurred in the Kimana area where a group of armed youths reportedly stormed the Kimana Police Station and made off with a safe box containing hundreds of title deeds.

The well-coordinated group, heavily armed, caught the officers on duty by surprise and ransacked the station.

The youths appeared to be on a mission, heading straight to the office of the Officer Commanding the Station (OCS) and seizing the safe box, which reportedly contained hundreds of title deeds.

The box had earlier been confiscated during an operation led by Kajiado South Sub-County Commander David Maina, following threats of violence between rival groups.

The authorities had taken custody of the safe to prevent further conflict.

There is growing speculation that a high-ranking government official may be behind the brazen theft, aiming to unlawfully claim ownership of a disputed ranch by securing the original title deeds.

The whereabouts of the safe box remain unknown, though there have been reports that the police managed to trace it as it was being transported towards Nairobi via the Emali-Loitoktok road.

However, they lost track of the vehicle when it vanished into the Kyulu Hills Park area.

Police officers were reportedly close to intercepting the vehicle but lost it when it entered the dense and rugged terrain of Kyulu Park.

Authorities now suspect that the safe box is hidden in a private ranch within the Kyulu Ranch area.

Governor Joseph ole Lenku has weighed in on the situation, alleging that a senior government official from the region is manipulating the police to intimidate local residents and create chaos for personal gain.

He described the invasion of the police station as likely being an inside job, orchestrated to serve the interests of this influential individual.
