A woman’s body, wrapped in a blanket and buried without a casket, has been exhumed from a shallow grave in Trans Nzoia County.
The discovery was made as homicide detectives began investigations at a home in Kaliwa Village, Waitaluk Ward, where several other bodies are suspected to be buried secretly.
The shallow grave was found behind a mud house, and police believe it could contain more victims.
Two suspects, who are the owners of the property where the grave was discovered, have been arrested as the investigation continues.
Authorities have yet to determine the exact number of potential bodies in the area.
