Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua is reportedly mobilizing his loyal supporters in an effort to prevent his eviction from his official residence in Karen, Nairobi.

The political tension surrounding Gachagua’s fate has escalated as allegations of misconduct and a looming impeachment motion gain momentum.

Lawmakers from both sides of the political divide have rallied behind the motion, accusing him of corruption, inciting divisions, and undermining the government.

Gachagua, however, appears determined to resist, holding meetings with allies and preparing for a political battle.

Security around Gachagua’s Karen residence has been tightened, with reports indicating that the General Service Unit (GSU) has cordoned off the area to maintain order.

This increased presence reflects the seriousness of the situation, as Gachagua’s loyalists continue to push back against the efforts to remove him.

His political future remains uncertain, and he faces a difficult path ahead, especially as key figures in the administration distance themselves from him.

This standoff comes amid rising calls for his impeachment in Parliament, with the National Assembly expected to debate the motion soon.

The outcome of this political crisis could have significant ramifications for Gachagua’s career and the broader political landscape in Kenya.

His response to these challenges, including any legal or political maneuvers, will likely determine his survival in office
