BREAKING Kindiki to Wait Longer for Swearing in as Court Sets Hearing Date on 29th October, he will wait until Jesus comes

Kithure Kindiki’s expected swearing-in as Kenya’s Deputy President has been delayed yet again due to ongoing legal challenges.

His appointment, following the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, faced immediate legal opposition from Gachagua’s legal team, who argue that his ouster was unjust.

This resulted in several court orders that prevented Kindiki’s assumption of office, pending a thorough judicial review of the impeachment process and nomination approval.

The most recent development has seen the High Court set a new hearing for October 29, where a three-judge bench will address whether to lift the injunctions barring Kindiki from office.

Although State House and the Attorney General have urged the court to proceed with Kindiki’s appointment, Justice Freda Mugambi emphasized the need to examine the urgency and complexity of the claims raised by Gachagua’s counsel.

This delay has led to heightened public and political anticipation around the judicial decision, as the country awaits resolution on the Deputy President position.

This legal impasse has stirred debate nationwide, as many are concerned about potential governance impacts.

The delay in filling the office has also raised questions about the stability of the current administration amid calls to finalize the leadership shift swiftly.

Both supporters and opponents of the decision await the court’s next steps, which will provide clarity on the contested leadership role.
