George Natembeya: A whole president came to Western to launch water taps and a transformer. Hiyo ni aibu kubwa. Hakuna maendeleo hapa! Watch

Governor George Natembeya of Trans Nzoia County has expressed his dissatisfaction with the level of development in Western Kenya.

He highlighted that while President William Ruto has been inaugurating large-scale projects in other regions, his visits to Western Kenya have been limited to launching small-scale initiatives, such as water taps and transformers.

This disparity in development attention has led to feelings of neglect among residents of Western Kenya.

In his statements, Governor Natembeya emphasized that the region deserves more substantial investments and infrastructure projects.

He pointed out that the inauguration of a single water tap, which costs millions of taxpayers’ money, is insufficient to address the pressing needs of the community.

Such small-scale projects, while beneficial, do not match the scale of development required to uplift the region.

The governor’s remarks reflect a broader sentiment among Western Kenya residents who feel that their region is being overlooked in favor of other areas receiving more significant development projects.

This situation has sparked discussions about the equitable distribution of resources and the need for a more balanced approach to development across the country.

The community is calling for attention to their needs and for the implementation of projects that will have a lasting and meaningful impact on their lives.
