The popular Chief, who recently went viral on social media for his humorous storytelling, was celebrated in a colorful farewell ceremony attended by local leaders and residents.
Saboti Member of Parliament, Caleb Amisi, joined the people of Kapretwa in paying tribute to the Chief’s years of dedication and service. Speaking during the celebration,
Amisi praised Chief Misheveve for his unwavering commitment to the community and the unique charm he brought to leadership.

“Today, one of Kenya’s most loved Chiefs, Wechuli—fondly known as ‘Misheveve’—officially retired. He has been celebrated by Kenyans from all walks of life for his outstanding service.
What a beautiful and joyful day in Saboti, Trans Nzoia County. Congratulations, my friend!” Wamalwa wrote.
Chief Misheveve rose to internet fame a few months ago after a video of him narrating a humorous story went viral.
In the video, he described a domestic disagreement where a man was unhappy because his mother had cooked misheveve (pumpkin leaves), while he had hoped for sukuma wiki (African kale), also referred to locally as sarat.
