Mombasa Governor Relocates Office to Hospital to Oversee Service Improvements
Mombasa Governor Abdullswamad Nassir has shifted his official operations to the Coast General Teaching and Referral Hospital in a bold move to directly oversee major changes aimed at boosting healthcare services.
In an official statement, Governor Nassir explained that relocating his office to the hospital was a strategic decision to ensure he can closely monitor and fast-track the ongoing reforms.
According to him, this hands-on approach will allow for faster decision-making and more effective implementation of improvements.
“This week, I have moved my office to the Coast General Hospital to personally oversee and accelerate the service reforms we are implementing,” the governor announced.
He further outlined some of the key reforms taking place at the facility, which include recruiting additional healthcare workers, with a special focus on hiring more nurses.
He emphasized that increasing the number of medical staff is necessary to ease the workload and improve patient care.
In addition, Governor Nassir said that the hospital’s systems are being digitised to improve efficiency in service delivery.
The use of digital technology is expected to streamline operations, reduce delays, and make the work of hospital staff much easier.
This move by the governor has been welcomed by many residents who believe that his presence at the hospital will lead to meaningful and lasting changes in the county’s healthcare sector.
