At least six police stations and several auctioneers across the country have issued notices that they plan to auction a wide range of unclaimed items—including vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, and even household goods—if the owners do not collect them within the specified period.
According to a gazette notice published on June 5, 2025, a total of 12 auctioneers are involved in this mass disposal exercise, which will take place over the next 30 days.
Eastleigh North Police Station Auction
Autoland Auctioneers have stated that within seven days from the date of the gazette notice, they will proceed with the auction of several unclaimed items at the Eastleigh North Police Station.
These include 13 motorcycles, one car, three bicycles, and four handcarts. The motorcycles are of various makes, such as Boxer, TVS, Sanya, and Honda. The only vehicle on the list is a Nissan March.
Maungu Police Station – Taita Taveta County
Petfriend Auctioneers have announced plans to auction 18 motorcycles and several other items that have been left unclaimed at the Maungu Police Station in Taita Taveta County.
The list includes a Suzuki Wagon, a Toyota Vitz, two bicycles, and a handcart. The motorcycle brands are Haojin, Skygo, Sanlg, TVS, Tianma, and Flyboy. If these items are not collected within 14 days, they will be sold through a public auction.
Isinya Police Station – Kajiado County
Windsor House Auctioneers have also announced a public auction for several items currently lying at the Isinya Police Station in Kajiado County.
These include a Tuktuk, five motorcycles, and several vehicles. The motorcycles consist of brands such as TVS, Captain, Boxer, and Shinery, while the cars listed for auction include a minibus, a Toyota Sienta, a Mazda Demio, and a Peugeot.
Nambale and Adungosi Police Stations – Busia County
Ikimwanya Auctioneers are also conducting two separate auctions. At Nambale Police Station, they will auction 15 motorcycles if they are not claimed within the next 30 days.
The motorcycle brands include TVS, Honda, Bajaj, and Sonlink. At the Adungosi Police Station, they plan to sell nine motorcycles along with ten bicycle frames that remain uncollected, also within a 30-day window.
Macalder and Kehancha Police Stations – Migori County
Sofina Auctioneers have listed a set of items to be auctioned at two police stations in Migori County. At Macalder Police Station, the auction will include eight motorcycles, a Toyota Probox, and a burnt shell of a Toyota vehicle. The motorcycles are of TVS, Boxer, and Honda brands.
Additionally, following a directive from the senior principal magistrate’s court in Kehancha, Sofina Auctioneers will sell nine motorcycles that remain unclaimed over the next 30 days.
Athi River and Nairobi Auctions
Garam Investment Auctioneers have listed four vehicles that are currently lying at the Tusker Mattresses premises in Athi River (L.R. No. 337/646). If the vehicles are not claimed within 30 days, they will be disposed of via auction, tender auction, or private treaty. The list includes an Isuzu pickup and three lorry trucks.
In Nairobi’s Industrial Area, Executive Auto Services Limited has announced that they will auction or sell a Toyota Hiace that has remained abandoned in their workshop for 10 years. This disposal will take place within 21 days.
Rucini Auto Garage and Muthaiga Business Center
Bensure Auctioneers have announced they will dispose of a Mercedes-Benz, a Toyota Vitz, and a Nissan Note that remain unclaimed at Rucini Auto Garage within 30 days.
Dial and Move Kenya Limited has also issued a notice regarding the auction of various household items that have been left at the Muthaiga Business Center. These include televisions, clothes, bedding, chairs, cookers, shoes, music systems, Meko gas cylinders, and shoe racks. If unclaimed, these items will be auctioned within seven days.
Tyrex Motor Services and Mombasa Auctions
Zebra House Kenya Auctioneers have said they will sell a Honda motorcycle engine currently at Tyrex Motor Services Limited in Industrial Area. The auction will take place within the next 30 days through either public auction or private sale.
Five Eleven Traders and Auctioneers have also confirmed that five vehicles left unclaimed at H. M. Auto Garage in Mombasa will be auctioned in the next 30 days if their owners do not collect them.
Diamond Storage and Auction Yard – Nairobi
Capitol Diamond Storage and Auction Yard has announced that several vehicles left in their yard will be disposed of within the next 30 days if they remain uncollected.
These include a Ford Ecosport, Toyota Fortuner, Toyota Probox, a Volvo Fire Engine Truck, Isuzu Direct, Nissan B16, Nissan Lafesta, and a Toyota Vitz. The sale may be conducted via public auction or private treaty.
Other Auctions
Allied Services and Logistics Limited plans to sell an Audi that remains unclaimed in Thindigua. This will happen within the next 30 days, either through auction or private treaty.
Lastly, Swiftway Auctioneers have listed a container that is currently lying unclaimed at the Kipevu Inland Container Depot Limited. If not collected, it will be auctioned within the next 30 days.
