Central Police OCS Samson Talaam Arrested Over Murder of Albert Ojwang
Samson Talaam, the Officer Commanding Station (OCS) at the Central Police Station, has been arrested in connection with the murder of Albert Ojwang. He was captured in Eldoret after reportedly being on the run following the incident.
Sources within the police service revealed that Talaam was immediately handed over to the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) for in-depth questioning and further investigations.
His arrest is a major development in the ongoing probe into Ojwang’s death, which has attracted significant public attention.
The case took a serious turn when the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Mohammed Amin, publicly identified Talaam as the main suspect in the murder.
Amin had earlier stated that the OCS should be treated as a prime suspect, which led to a more focused manhunt for the senior police officer.
Talaam’s arrest now puts IPOA in charge of determining the full circumstances surrounding the murder, including possible abuse of power or misconduct within the police force.
The incident has raised fresh concerns over police accountability and the need for justice in cases involving law enforcement officers.
