Step-by-Step Guide to Checking Your Status

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has officially released the placement results for students who applied to join the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) for the September 2025 intake.

In an official announcement made on Friday, July 18, KUCCPS advised all applicants to log in to the KUCCPS student portal to check their application outcome. “Update: The KMTC September 2025 placement results are now available.

Applicants are encouraged to log in to the KUCCPS Student Portal to view their results,” the statement read.

This update comes shortly after KUCCPS had earlier invited students to submit their applications through the portal starting from June 24. During the application window, students were given until July 7 to complete the process, either online or by visiting their nearest Huduma Centre.

How to Check Your KMTC Placement Status

Step 1: Visit the official KUCCPS student portal at students.kuccps.net.

Step 2: Log in by entering your Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) index number, the year you sat the exam, and your password.

Tip: If you’re logging in for the first time or have forgotten your password, you can use your KCPE index number or birth certificate number as your default password.

Step 3: Once you’ve logged in successfully, you’ll be able to view your placement details. The system will display whether you have been placed in a KMTC program and provide full information about your course.

KUCCPS had offered a total of 36 training programmes during the application period, with both diploma and certificate options available. Among the most popular choices were:

Diploma Programmes:

  • Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  • Pharmacy
  • Public Health
  • Orthopaedic and Trauma Medicine
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Health Counselling
  • Health Promotion
  • Kenya Registered Nursing
  • Mortuary Science
  • Optometry

Certificate Courses:

  • Kenya Enrolled Community Health Nursing
  • Medical Emergency Technician
  • Health Insurance Management
  • Nutrition and Dietetics

KUCCPS emphasized the importance of students checking their results early to prepare for the next steps in their medical training journey. This placement marks a significant milestone for thousands of aspiring healthcare professionals across the country, as they prepare to join KMTC campuses nationwide in September 2025.
