Six Companies Plan Big Auction of Cars and Motorcycles Across Kenya
Six different companies have announced a large public auction of vehicles and other goods that have been lying unclaimed for a long time.
According to a notice from several auctioneers, owners of these items have been given a final warning to collect their property. If they fail to do so within the stated period—between 14 and 30 days—the items will be sold off to the public.
In an official gazette notice dated August 15, the auctioneers listed various uncollected property including cars, motorcycles, household items and electronic appliances.
Among the vehicles to be auctioned are popular models like Toyota Wish, Toyota Corolla, Toyota Prado Land Cruiser, Honda CR-V, Mitsubishi L200 and even a classic Peugeot 504. These vehicles will be up for grabs if their owners do not come forward in time.
One of the companies, Makys Auctioneers, has announced that it will auction goods currently lying at the Archer’s Post Police Yard. According to the notice, this sale has already been approved by the court. They warned that any uncollected items—including motor vehicles, motorcycles and bicycles—will be sold after 14 days if the owners fail to collect them.
The auctioneers have reminded owners to come forward and reclaim their property within the deadline to avoid losing it. After this deadline, the goods will be legally auctioned off.
Two more auctions have been scheduled to take place at the Illasit Police Yard and the Imbirikani Police Yard.
Owners of items stored in these two locations have been given 21 days to collect their belongings. Items listed for auction at these two yards include motorcycles, solar batteries and vehicles like the Toyota Vitz and a Mercedes Actros truck.
Several other companies are also taking part in these public auctions. Regent Auctioneers announced they will be auctioning a Toyota Starlet. Realtime Estates has listed a Peugeot 504 among the items to be sold. Peywa Auctioneers will sell two heavy-duty trailers, while Devine Solutions will auction off two Samsung television sets.
Additionally, Makini Auctioneers Agencies has received a court order to carry out a major auction of vehicles and motorcycles that are currently being held at the Bamburi Police Station. This auction includes different Toyota models such as the Toyota Allion, Toyota Harrier and Toyota Corolla, along with a large number of motorcycles.
The auctioneers emphasized that all owners must collect their property and settle any accumulating fees within 30 days. Failure to do so will result in their items being sold to the highest bidder at a public auction.
Overall, owners are strongly encouraged to visit the respective police yards or contact the auction companies immediately to claim their belongings before it’s too late.
