Nairobi Law Firm Puts 41 Cars on Auction Starting at Ksh131,000
A Nairobi-based law firm, Onyango and Tarus Advocates, has announced that 41 vehicles will be going under the hammer, with bidding prices starting from as low as Ksh131,000.
The auction notice was published in a local daily on Monday, September 22, urging members of the public who are interested in owning a car through the sale to submit their bids before the deadline on September 30.
The firm also emphasized that all the vehicles are available for viewing at different designated yards across the country so that buyers can inspect them before making any offers.
The most affordable option in the auction is a 2001 Nissan Caravan van, which has been placed at Leakey’s Yard for Ksh131,000. This is followed closely by a Toyota Succeed at Joyland Yard, valued at Ksh288,000. Other pocket-friendly cars include a 2011 Nissan Note priced at Ksh422,000 at Joyland Yard and another Nissan Note of the 2012 model going for Ksh436,000 at Eezy Ruiru Yard.
Vehicles priced below half a million shillings also include a 2004 Toyota Premio available at Eezy Ruiru Yard for Ksh450,000, a Volkswagen Golf at Jogoo Road Motors listed for Ksh400,000, a Nissan Advan at Integra Yard for Ksh450,000, and a Toyota Wish at Pamo Yard going for Ksh470,000.
These are among the mid-range choices that appeal to many ordinary Kenyans who want reliable vehicles at fairly affordable prices.
Slightly higher on the price scale are cars such as the 2017 Daihatsu Boon, which is going for Ksh743,000 at Valuers Yard Roasters in Nairobi.
A 2014 Toyota Vitz is available at Eezy Storage Yard in Ruiru for Ksh673,000, while Jogoo Road Motors is offering a 2015 Nissan Latio at Ksh636,000. These options target buyers who are looking for relatively newer models but still at a reasonable cost.
For those interested in high-end vehicles, the auction has several premium models priced above one million shillings. These include a 2011 Audi Q7 at Naivasha Auto Storage Yard, going for Ksh1.8 million.
Eezy Storage Yard in Ruiru has listed a 2011 Toyota Fortuner at Ksh1.2 million, while Naivasha Investments Storage Yard is offering a Toyota Hilux at Ksh1.3 million. A BMW valued at Ksh1.1 million is also up for grabs at Eezy Ruiru Yard.
Other vehicles in this category include a Toyota Harrier at Remma Yard priced at Ksh1.2 million, a Toyota Hiace at Eldoret Supermax for Ksh1 million, and a Toyota Crown Athlete at Grey Post Yard also going for Ksh1 million. These vehicles are expected to attract bidders who are searching for executive or utility cars with strong brand value.
On the most expensive side of the auction, luxury and heavy-duty options are also available. Jogoo Road Motors is offering a 2016 Audi Q7 for Ksh5.4 million, while the same yard has listed a Toyota Land Cruiser for Ksh4.5 million.
In Kisumu, Jagwood Motors is selling a 2015 Toyota Hilux for Ksh3.4 million, while Jogoo Road Motors also features a 2013 Tata LPT Truck valued at Ksh3.5 million. Eezy Ruiru Yard has a 2012 Toyota Land Cruiser listed at Ksh3 million.
