Kakamega Politician Lynda Aseyo Dies in Tragic Road Accident
Former Kakamega County Assembly member, Lynda Aseyo, has tragically lost her life in a motorcycle accident on the Kakamega-Mumias Highway.
Her sudden death on Tuesday evening, November 18, near Planet Gardens Resort, has left the community, fellow leaders, and friends in deep mourning.
Known for her dedication to public service, Aseyo remained an active figure in her community even after leaving office in 2022.
How the Accident Happened
Eyewitnesses reported that Lynda Aseyo was riding a motorcycle when it collided with a passenger bus heading to Kakamega. The impact was severe, and she died instantly at the scene.
Dennis Weche, a close friend of the late politician, confirmed the tragic incident, stating, “She tragically lost her life in a road accident near Ikonyero after the boda boda she was riding on was hit by a Climax bus from Mumias. She died on the spot. Rest in peace, comrade.”
Her sudden passing has left a void in the community she tirelessly served. Residents and fellow leaders in Kakamega eulogized her as a selfless, service-oriented politician who always prioritized the needs of her constituents.
