Buuri MP Mugambi Rindikiri Involved in Road Accident While Heading to Ruto’s Event
Buuri Member of Parliament Mugambi Rindikiri was on Thursday morning involved in a road accident along the busy Nanyuki–Meru highway while travelling to attend President William Ruto’s NYOTA programme at Kinoru Stadium in Meru.
According to early reports, the legislator escaped without serious injuries and was confirmed to be in stable condition. Sources close to his office indicated that he did not sustain any life-threatening harm and was able to continue with his planned activities later in the day.
The accident is reported to have occurred near the Siraji area in Timau and involved another vehicle that was carrying Catholic sisters. Fortunately, all passengers in both vehicles were unharmed, and no fatalities or serious injuries were recorded.
Emergency responders, traffic police, and security officers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident to manage the situation, assist those involved, and restore normal traffic flow along the highway. Both vehicles reportedly suffered minor damage.
Following the incident, MP Rindikiri took to social media to confirm that he and his team were safe. He expressed gratitude to Kenyans, his constituents, and supporters for the messages of concern, prayers, and goodwill that poured in after news of the accident spread.
“My team and I appreciate the concern shown following a road incident. We are all safe and doing well. Thank you to my constituents and fellow Kenyans for the prayers and goodwill,” the MP stated.
Meanwhile, authorities have launched investigations to establish the exact cause of the collision. At the time of reporting, no official details had been released regarding how the accident occurred, as police continue with their inquiries.
