Main Points to Remember If you’re thinking about how to pay for a coding bootcamp, two of the most common choices are income share agreements (ISAs) and bootcamp-specific loans. Both can help cover tuition and offer flexibility in how you repay the money. However, your best option depends on how much it will cost over time. An important difference to note is that income share agreements aren’t based on your credit score, unlike most bootcamp loans. So if your credit…
I. What Is Peer-to-Peer (P2P) Lending? Peer-to-peer lending, often called P2P lending, is a major innovation in the world of financial technology (Fintech). It connects borrowers directly with individual lenders, eliminating the need for banks or other traditional financial institutions. This direct connection streamlines the lending process and makes borrowing money more accessible and often more affordable. The global P2P lending market is growing rapidly. It’s projected to reach around $621.3 billion by 2032, a significant jump from $130.3 billion in 2023. This growth reflects how much individuals and businesses are embracing the convenience, transparency, and flexibility of P2P platforms.…

The Senate Speaker, Amason Kingi, forwarded…
Over 58 Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs) across Kenya are staring at a possible auction of their properties after defaulting on loans totaling Ksh1.36 billion borrowed from the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSSCO). These SACCOs had secured the loans using their members’ deposits, which currently stand at only Ksh368.39 million — leaving a huge funding gap of about Ksh987.86 million. This shortfall means that KUSSCO is unable to recover the full amount from the available collateral, prompting serious recovery actions. To recover the funds, KUSSCO has now issued formal demand letters to all defaulting SACCOs. These…
