Kisii Village in Frenzy as ‘Virgin Mary’ Image Appears on Kitchen Wall
A quiet village in Kisii County has suddenly become a centre of attention after an unusual image resembling the Virgin Mary reportedly appeared on a kitchen wall.
The incident happened in Getare Village, Bobasi Constituency, where curious residents and religious believers have been flocking to the homestead to see the image for themselves.
The marking was reportedly noticed on Friday, September 4, by Mary Onsombi while attending to a cooking fire. According to reports, the image appeared to resemble a woman with a veil and clasped hands.
Photos and videos of the wall quickly spread on social media, attracting even more visitors to the home. Some people believe the image could be a spiritual sign, while others remain sceptical.
A Catholic priest who visited the home, however, offered a more natural explanation. He suggested that smoke from the cooking fire, together with moisture on the wall, could have created the unusual pattern.
The Catholic Church has not declared the incident a miracle or confirmed it as an appearance of the Virgin Mary.
For now, the mysterious image continues to spark debate in the village, with some choosing to see it as a matter of faith while others believe there could be a simple explanation behind it.
