Five different auctioneering companies have made public announcements about upcoming mass auctions involving unclaimed items, mainly motor vehicles and motorcycles.

These auctions also include various other goods and are set to take place soon if the owners do not step forward to claim their property.

The companies involved are Hariki Auctioneers, Rariga Traders Auctioneers, Fancy Friends Auctioneers, Markys Auctioneers, and Windsor House Auctioneers.

According to a gazette notice published on June 27, 2025, the companies are urging individuals whose property is listed in the notice to collect their goods as soon as possible.

Owners are required to settle all pending charges before the set deadlines; otherwise, their items will be sold at public auction.

Windsor House Auctioneers is handling items kept at Pangani, Ngoliba, and Kyumbi police stations. These items include motor vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, aluminium electrical wires, scrap metal, and other materials.

The auctioneer has advised the owners to retrieve their property within 30 days from June 26, 2025, by paying publication fees and any outstanding costs. Failure to do so will result in the goods being auctioned publicly on behalf of the police stations.

Hariki Auctioneers announced it will auction a Mercedes-Benz that is currently at Blue Shine Motors Yard. If the rightful owner does not claim it within 30 days from June 17, 2025, it will be sold either through public auction, private treaty, or tender.

The owner must clear all storage fees, interest charges, publication costs, and other related expenses before collecting the vehicle.

Fancy Friends Auctioneers has also made a similar announcement, listing 49 motor vehicles that have been left at various auto garages.

The owners have been given 30 days from June 11, 2025, to collect the vehicles. To reclaim their property, they must settle all storage charges and incidental costs that have accumulated over time.

Rariga Traders Auctioneers revealed plans to sell a Toyota Prado currently held at the Concorde Motor Yard in Mombasa. The owner has 30 days from June 18, 2025, to collect the vehicle.

To do so, they will need to pay all repair fees, storage charges, accrued interest, publication costs, and other applicable fees. If not claimed, the car will be put up for public sale.

Markys Auctioneers has listed a wide range of unclaimed items, including motorcycles, motor vehicles, bicycles, household goods, electronic devices, mechanical equipment, and other assorted items. These goods are being stored at the Busia Police Yard.

The auctioneer has given owners or those responsible for the goods 21 days from June 16, 2025, to collect their items.

If they fail to do so, the auctioneer will dispose of the property through public auction on behalf of the police station.

All the auctioneers have emphasized that unclaimed goods will be auctioned once the deadlines lapse, and owners will no longer have a right to the items unless they pay all outstanding costs.

This public notice serves as a final reminder to claim the listed goods before they are permanently lost through auction.
