Temperature Warning – Cold Weather Expected
In addition to the rain, the meteorological department has warned that very cold weather conditions are expected in the next five days, particularly in the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, the South-eastern lowlands, and parts of the Rift Valley.
Residents living in these areas should prepare for extremely low temperatures, dropping to about 7°C during the first two days. The temperatures may rise slightly to around 9°C for the remaining days.
Kenya Met added that cloudy and chilly conditions would be experienced, especially during the mornings and evenings in most of the mentioned counties.
Strong Winds Alert
Lastly, the department has warned of strong south-easterly winds blowing at speeds of more than 12.86 metres per second across the Coast, the South-Eastern lowlands, North-Eastern, and North-Western Kenya. These strong winds may affect visibility and general outdoor activities, so caution is advised.
