ODM Leader Oburu Odinga Jets to Dubai for Medical Checkup and Relaxation

Siaya Senator and ODM party leader, Oburu Odinga, has flown to Dubai for a brief trip combining a routine medical checkup and relaxation, sources close to the family have confirmed.

According to family insiders, the trip is primarily for health reasons, as Oburu wants to ensure he maintains good health while juggling his busy political schedule.

At the same time, the family has indicated that he will take the opportunity to enjoy a short break and recharge after an intense period of political engagements and party responsibilities.

Oburu’s son, Jaoko Oburu, confirmed the purpose of the trip, stating:

“Our father is taking a short break for both medical checkup and to rest. He has been working hard, and we wanted to ensure he takes some time to care for himself.”

The trip comes at a crucial time, shortly after Oburu assumed leadership responsibilities in ODM following his late brother Raila Odinga’s passing.

Party insiders note that this short sabbatical will allow him to return refreshed and ready to steer the party through upcoming political activities.

Oburu’s itinerary includes consultations with medical specialists and light leisure activities, blending health maintenance with relaxation. Family members and close aides have asked the public to respect his privacy during this period.

Upon completion of his trip, Oburu is expected to return to Kenya fully rejuvenated and ready to continue his leadership duties.
