‘Tunasaidia Huyo Mama’ Obidan Dela Speaks Out on Relationship with Late Brian Chira’s Grandmother! Famed Kenyan content creator Obidan Dela found himself at the center of dating rumors after hosting Brian Chira’s grandmother, Grace Njeri, on a viral livestream. Chira was a popular TikTok star who passed away last year, and Njeri had recently accused Baba Talisha of mishandling funds raised for the burial.

Obidan invited Njeri to his live broadcast to address the matter. However, the conversation soon sparked speculation online about the nature of their interaction. Some viewers claimed Obidan and Njeri seemed romantic and insinuated they could be dating.
The rumors quickly gained traction on social media platforms. But in an exclusive interview with Tuko.co.ke, Obidan was quick to shut down such allegations. He clarified to the outlet that he only saw Njeri as a friend and had no intention other than helping her get answers.
Obidan said he was good friends with the late Brian Chira and felt connected to his family as well. When he learned of Njeri’s frustration over the burial funds issue, Obidan wanted to provide a platform to assist her. He praised Njeri for being a wonderful grandmother who deserved support.
The content creator laughed off dating claims, insisting there was no illicit motive or relationship between him and Njeri. Obidan explained he hosted her live simply because people were attempting to take advantage after Chira’s passing. By giving her a voice, he believed the matter could be resolved respectfully.
Obidan further stated the money should have been immediately handed over to Njeri and her family following the burial, questioning why others tried controlling the situation. He aimed to restore transparency on an understandably sensitive issue for the beloved grandmother.
