Nairobi, Kenya – Henry Omondi recently went viral for his fervent protest against the alleged sale of Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA).
A video of him viciously defending the supposed sold airport circulated widely, turning him into an internet sensation.
In an inspiring turn of events, businessman Kevin Otiende has extended a helping hand to transform his life through vocational training.
Otiende, moved by Omondi’s story and determination, shared details of their first meeting on social media.
“This young man’s journey of transformation has started. I met him for the first time in my office and heard first-hand about his challenging life on the streets,” he wrote.

Omondi, who is homeless and sleeps on the very streets where he protested, dropped out of school at Class
2. Despite his lack of formal education, Otiende was impressed by Omondi’s ability to read and write and his excellent handwriting.
“This young man is what you call inborn intelligence, as he is quite informed,” Otiende noted.
Recognising Omondi’s potential, Otiende has swiftly taken steps to provide him with practical training.
Otiende’s plans for Omondi
Otiende disclosed they had identified a TVET institution he would join in the coming days.
“My job is to make sure he gets practical training to become a mechanic as his heart desires,” he announced.
Reached for comment, the philanthropist told TUKO.co.ke that he was bent on ensuring the youngster succeeds.
He also called on the community to support Omondi’s journey by taking their cars to him for maintenance once he leaves college.
