Nuru Okanga, a well-known political enthusiast, was given a hero’s welcome in his village after returning with a brand-new posho mill.

This heartwarming reception was marked by a grand escort of boda boda riders, who accompanied him in a jubilant procession. Okanga stood proudly at the back of a lorry that carried the posho mill, basking in the cheers and excitement of his community.

The posho mill was a generous gift from Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, who had pledged to assist Okanga in a significant way.

During a live interview on the Obinna Show on August 19, Sudi made a remarkable promise to Okanga, offering him KSh 1.3 million to help improve his living conditions and support other needs.

Sudi’s offer was more than just financial assistance; it was a life-changing gesture.

He advised Okanga to look for a three-bedroom house under the affordable housing scheme in areas like Kibera or Mukuru Kwa Njenga, assuring him that he would take care of the expenses.

Sudi’s exact words were, “Do you want KSh 1.3 million? Give me your account, and I will deposit the money for you.

Not immediately; I will do it later. However, regarding what I have arranged for you, go and look for a house under the affordable housing scheme; find a three-bedroom house.

I have bought this for you as if I bought it for the children, and you should now start life and continue. Go and furnish everything.”

In a recent update, Okanga confirmed that he had received KSh 700,000 from the MP, with the remaining balance promised once he returns to Nairobi.

This initial amount was used to purchase the posho mill, which has now become a symbol of hope and progress for his community.

The video, which was shared on newshub.co.ke, captures the triumphant moment of Okanga’s return, highlighting the joy and celebration that filled the air as he was warmly received by his fellow villagers.

The sight of boda boda riders enthusiastically escorting him through the village underscored the deep respect and admiration the community holds for Okanga, who has become a beacon of inspiration thanks to Sudi’s generosity.
