In a bizarre turn of events, Kenyan celebrities Njugush, Celestine, Butita, and Abel Mutua found themselves running for their lives at Lang’ata Cemetery. The chaotic scene unfolded during the funeral of Fyah Mummah Jahmby, also known as Njambi Koikai, when a rowdy crowd of fans suddenly turned on the well-known personalities.

The four stars, beloved by many for their contributions to Kenyan entertainment, had come to pay their respects to the late Njambi Koikai, a prominent media personality and reggae enthusiast who had touched many hearts with her work and her battle against endometriosis. However, the somber mood of the funeral was abruptly shattered as some overly enthusiastic fans started to crowd and chase the celebrities.

Video footage captured the harrowing moments as Njugush, Celestine, Butita, and Abel Mutua sprinted through the cemetery, dodging gravestones and scrambling to find safety. The crowd, initially drawn by the presence of their favorite stars, quickly became overwhelming, leading to the chaotic chase.

Witnesses at the scene described the situation as surreal and distressing. “It was meant to be a respectful farewell to Njambi Koikai, but it turned into a frenzy. People were pushing and shoving, all trying to get close to the celebrities,” one attendee recounted.

Despite the unexpected chaos, the celebrities managed to escape unharmed, albeit shaken by the experience. They later took to social media to express their shock and disappointment over the incident, urging fans to always respect personal boundaries, especially in sensitive settings such as funerals.

Njugush posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram, saying, “Today was meant to be a day of mourning and paying respects to a wonderful soul, Njambi Koikai. It’s unfortunate that it turned out the way it did. Please, let’s always remember to maintain decorum and respect for such occasions.”

Celestine, echoing Njugush’s sentiments, added, “It was scary and sad to see what happened today. Let’s honor Njambi’s memory with the dignity she deserves.”
