Former Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has opened up about the harsh online reactions he has faced since his dismissal from the Cabinet.
In an interview on Citizen TV, Kuria revealed that he has been the target of vitriolic messages, including an unexpected and demeaning job offer from an online troll.
Kuria shared that, amidst the backlash, he received a message offering him a mortuary attendant position, an offer he described as “harsh” and “terrible.”
The former CS expressed that while he acknowledges the need for change and respects public opinion, such personal attacks are difficult to endure.
“There’s a particular media house which has dedicated 10 minutes of their time every morning to trolling me. It is not easy,” Kuria said.
Despite the negativity, Kuria remains focused on his future.
He plans to lead a quieter private life, continuing with personal projects such as writing a book, which he began in January.
Additionally, he has received invitations to speak at international events, an opportunity he is keen to pursue.
“I am doing my private things, I am writing my book. I started writing my book in January. I have had a lot of invitations even before to speak at international forums and events about global issues. I am not short of things to do,” Kuria noted.
