
Wife of Yesu Wa Tongareni, Nabii Benjamin, stirs controversy with appeals to President Ruto and First Lady ahead of Madaraka day’s celebrations.
In her plea to the President, she sought assistance for her two children’s job prospects post-graduation.
Highlighting the significance of her children’s future careers, Yesu wa Tongareni’s wife emphasized their potential to contribute positively to the family’s welfare once employed.
“I felt a surge of joy upon learning about the upcoming visit of President Ruto and First Lady Mama Rachel to our region in Bungoma. I earnestly wish to seek their assistance for my two children, who have completed their education but are still struggling to find employment opportunities.”
The prospect of them joining the Kenya Defense Forces fills me with happiness, as it aligns with their aspirations. I humbly appeal for assistance, as it would greatly uplift our family’s circumstances,” she asserted.
The President is set to preside over Madaraka Day celebrations at Masinde Muliro Stadium in Kanduyi constituency, Bungoma County.
Wife of Yesu wa Tongareni emphasized that, “President and Mama Rachel represent our sole beacon of hope for their children’s future.”
Regarding their living conditions, Yesu wa Tongareni’s wife expressed the challenges they face living in darkness and struggling to communicate due to the absence of electricity in their vicinity.
Expressing their warm welcome, she urged them to assist in addressing their plight. Specifically, she appealed for their support in repairing the road leading to Yesu wa Tongaren’s home. She vividly described the condition of the road, suggesting that visiting them would entail an involuntary dance in the car due to its poor state.
In 2023, the public eye turned to Bungoma-based preacher Eliud Wekesa, fondly referred a Yesu wa Tongaren, along with his wife, following his summons by the police.
On Friday, Ruto encouraged Chwele residents to participate in the 61st Madaraka Day celebrations on Saturday, emphasizing the importance of early and robust attendance.
As part of his county tour, he is anticipated to unveil various development initiatives.
