Attorney General Justin Muturi’s son, Leslie Muturi, has gone missing under mysterious circumstances in Nairobi’s Lavington area.

The 40-year-old businessman is suspected to have been either kidnapped or arrested by unknown individuals.

The incident was first brought to light by Embakasi West MP Mark Mwenje, who disclosed the news late Saturday, June 22, while standing beside the four-wheel-drive vehicle Leslie had been using.

The family, including AG Muturi, remains deeply concerned as efforts to locate Leslie have so far been fruitless.

“He has not yet been found,” AG Muturi stated in a message on Sunday at approximately 11:30 am. The matter has been reported to the police, who are actively investigating the incident.

Leslie was last seen leaving a popular club along Dennis Pritt Road before his vehicle was intercepted a few meters away. Eyewitnesses report that he was forcibly removed from his car and placed into another vehicle, which swiftly drove off. The motive behind this incident remains unclear, and no demands or communications have been made by the perpetrators.

In a video that circulated online on Saturday evening, MP Mwenje, who claims to be a close friend of Leslie, alleged that police officers were involved in the abduction. According to Mwenje, Leslie was taken from his car by men dressed in black combat gear, driving a white hardtop Land Cruiser.

“To the police who have taken him, we will find you. Release him right now, we will not sleep until we find him,” Mwenje asserted in the video, standing next to Leslie’s abandoned blue SUV with its doors and boot left wide open.

Despite these claims, the police have stated that they are unaware of who took Leslie and are currently investigating the situation. The incident has sparked significant concern and urgency, with AG Muturi and his family desperately seeking information about Leslie’s whereabouts.
