Protests in Nairobi’s Central Business District have reached a boiling point as tensions between demonstrators and the police escalate.

The protests, which began peacefully, have turned violent after police reportedly began using live ammunition to disperse the crowds.

Eyewitnesses in the city center describe scenes of chaos, with protesters scattering in all directions as gunshots rang out.

The protesters, many of whom are angry over government policies and the rising cost of living, initially gathered to voice their frustrations.

However, the situation quickly deteriorated as clashes with the police grew more intense.

Tear gas was fired into the crowds, but it was the reported use of live bullets that has sparked the most concern among observers.

Nairobi residents are now on high alert, with businesses shutting down and people fleeing the area to avoid getting caught in the violence.

Social media is flooded with videos and photos of the unrest, as citizens document the unfolding crisis.

The use of live ammunition has already led to injuries, and there are growing fears of more casualties if the situation is not brought under control soon.

Government officials have yet to issue a statement on the use of live bullets, but the escalating violence is likely to draw both local and international scrutiny.

Human rights organizations are already calling for an investigation into the police’s actions, urging restraint and the protection of civilian lives.

As the protests continue, the people of Nairobi are left wondering how much worse the situation will get before peace is restored.
