A recent incident in the Kenyan Parliament has sparked attention after keen-eyed observers noticed a significant cockroach infestation.
The discovery occurred during a session where Transport Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen was answering queries from the Senate.
While the session was heated due to Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei’s protest and subsequent ejection, the presence of cockroaches within the chambers became a focal point online.
Many Kenyans expressed concern over the unsanitary conditions, raising questions about the state of hygiene in such an important government institution.
This issue of cockroach infestations in public places is not uncommon, especially in environments that may not be frequently cleaned or are poorly maintained.
