In a heartrending plea to the authorities, a grieving mother has made a desperate call for help in finding her son, Brian Odhiambo, who has been missing for six days after allegedly being abducted by Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) officers.

On Friday, January 24, Elizabeth Auma, in an emotional outpouring, expressed her sorrow and anxiety, urging the government to step in and take immediate action to bring her son home.

With a voice full of pain, she said, “I haven’t eaten since my son went missing.

I beg the KWS officers, please, return my son to me. Even if he is no longer alive, just bring his body back so I can see him one last time.”

Elizabeth Auma, who spoke candidly about the devastating impact of her son’s disappearance, shared how Brian was the firstborn child and the family’s main provider.

His absence has left a significant void, deeply affecting the entire family.

She further explained the torment she faces daily, unable to sleep or find peace, hoping that somehow, even in his suffering, her son might still be alive and return home.

“I stay awake at night, praying that, even if his legs are broken, he will somehow crawl to our door and knock, asking us to open for him,” she added tearfully.

Brian Odhiambo was last seen on Saturday, January 18, when he went missing. Since then, the family has heard nothing about his whereabouts, and there have been no reports to confirm his arrest or detention. This silence has only intensified the family’s anguish, leaving them in a state of uncertainty and fear.

His wife, Ivy Aoko, also joined in calling for his immediate release, emphasizing that they have two young children who depend on him for their well-being.

Despite media reports claiming that six KWS officers had been arrested in connection with the disappearance, Odhiambo’s mother refuted these claims, stating that no arrests had been made, and they had not seen any officials detained.

The disappearance of Brian Odhiambo has ignited protests and widespread unrest in Nakuru, with many demanding his return.

For three consecutive days, protests have unfolded, with tensions peaking on Thursday when police used teargas to disperse demonstrators near a local school.

It is believed that Odhiambo went missing after entering the restricted area of Lake Nakuru National Park, allegedly to engage in illegal fishing activities.

His disappearance has sparked both public outrage and a call for justice, with many rallying for his safe return.
