Another parent went further to accuse the headteacher of setting a bad example that the boy had copied, leading him to commit the shocking acts.

“The headteacher and his wife should never return to this school. They are the ones who have introduced this kind of behavior to the children.

They always act inappropriately in front of the students, and that is why this boy has been influenced to do such terrible things. It’s a case of ‘Monkey see, monkey do,’” the parent claimed.

According to the victims, the boy would take advantage of times when teachers and students were busy elsewhere, sneaking his victims into empty classrooms while carrying a knife.

Once inside, he would allegedly assault them and threaten them with harm if they ever exposed him. He also took disturbing photos of his victims while they were naked, using these images to further intimidate them into silence.

Despite the victims repeatedly reporting these horrifying incidents to the headteacher, he reportedly ignored their complaints, taking no action to stop the abuse.

This lack of intervention left the students feeling unprotected, eventually forcing the enraged parents to step in.

Parents Resist Calls to Reopen the School

After the violent protest, local authorities and education officials tried to reason with the parents, urging them to allow students to return to school on Monday.

However, their pleas were met with strong resistance, as parents insisted that the school had failed their children and could no longer be trusted.

Mathioya Education Officer, Gabriel Kinoru, assured the parents that their concerns had been noted and that he would escalate the issue to higher authorities for further action.

“I have listened to your complaints and taken notes. I will present this matter to my seniors and ensure they understand the full situation at Nyakianga Primary School.

I ask for calm as we work on resolving this issue. Please, let us keep the peace and allow children to return to school on Monday,” Kinoru stated.

Murang’a County Police Commander, Moses Emajong, also attempted to calm the situation, warning that keeping students away from school would only hurt their education.

“If the children don’t return to school, they are the ones who will suffer in the end,” he emphasized.

Student Arrested and Key Evidence Recovered

Following the chaos, the accused student was taken into custody at Nyakianga Police Station, where he is being held as he awaits his court appearance at Kangema Law Courts on Monday.

During the arrest, police officers recovered the knife he had allegedly used to threaten his victims, along with his mobile phone, which contained the disturbing photos he had taken.

As investigations continue, the incident has left the community in shock, with parents demanding justice and stricter measures to prevent such cases from happening again in the future.
