The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has confirmed that fuel prices will remain unchanged in its latest monthly review.
The announcement, made on Thursday, means that the cost of Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene will stay the same for the next pricing cycle.
According to EPRA, motorists will continue to pay Ksh176.58 per liter for Super Petrol, while Diesel will retail at Ksh167.06 per liter.
Similarly, Kerosene users will still purchase it at Ksh151.39 per liter. These prices will remain in effect from March 15 to April 14.
The regulatory body clarified that the fuel prices include the 16 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) as required by law.
The adjustments are based on the provisions of the Finance Act 2023 and the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, which outline the taxation framework for petroleum products.
By keeping the fuel prices unchanged, EPRA aims to provide stability in the energy sector while ensuring compliance with the latest tax regulations.
The authority also reiterated its commitment to monitoring global oil prices and adjusting local fuel costs accordingly in future reviews.
