In a devastating turn of events, the family of the late beloved Reggae MC and radio host, Njambi Koikai, is now grappling with a double tragedy following the sudden death of her father, Daniel Koikai.
A certain publication revealed that Mr. Koikai’s body was found in his residence on Friday morning, the same day his daughter was to be laid to rest at Lang’ata Cemetery.
Reports suggest Daniel Koikai’s death might have been self-inflicted, but the exact circumstances remain unclear.
This heart-wrenching news comes just a day after Mr. Koikai had attended his daughter’s funeral service at the Nairobi Chapel. During the service, he expressed deep sorrow over her unexpected passing.
“Dear Njambi, my daughter, the time has come for me to atone for my acts of omission or commission on your final journey from this world. The large following you were able to marshal was a testament to your ability as an influential personality,” he said in a poignant eulogy on Thursday.
Her father noted her sudden passing had cut short a promising career that had extended into the political arena, highlighting her bid for the Dagoretti South MP seat in the 2022 elections, where she impressively finished fourth.
