Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka emphasized the urgency of addressing the grievances of Generation Z, particularly concerning the high cost of living. “If we are not careful, all of us will be thrown out by Gen Z,” he warned.

This demographic is increasingly vocal about economic pressures, and their dissatisfaction could lead to significant political repercussions.

Musyoka urged leaders to listen attentively and take decisive actions to mitigate these issues before they escalate.

He also touched on the role of law enforcement in maintaining order amid growing discontent.

Musyoka suggested that the President could consider ordering the Inspector General to either retire or remove the police from the streets.

This, he argued, would help de-escalate tensions and reduce confrontations between the police and citizens.

By taking a more community-focused approach, the government could foster a sense of solidarity and cooperation, rather than conflict and division.

Furthermore, Musyoka called for comprehensive economic reforms to alleviate the financial burdens faced by the younger generation.

He proposed initiatives such as job creation programs, affordable housing projects, and subsidies on essential goods.

These measures, he believes, would not only improve living standards but also restore faith in the government’s ability to address the people’s needs effectively.

In conclusion, Hon. Kalonzo Musyoka’s remarks serve as a critical reminder of the pressing need to engage with and respond to the concerns of Generation Z.

By prioritizing economic relief and reevaluating the presence of police in public spaces, the government can create a more inclusive and responsive political environment.

This proactive approach is essential to maintaining stability and ensuring that the voices of all citizens are heard and valued.
