Following President William Ruto’s decision to dissolve the entire Cabinet, State House swiftly removed all dismissed Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney General from its official website. This action was taken within two hours of their dismissal, reflecting the immediacy of the presidential directive.

The names of all former Cabinet Secretaries and the Attorney General were no longer accessible on the government website, leaving only President William Ruto, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, and Secretary to the Cabinet Mercy Wanjau listed.

President Ruto’s decision to dissolve the Cabinet, excluding only a few key positions, marks the second major cabinet reshuffle since he assumed office in September 2022. In his address to the nation, Ruto emphasized his intention to form a new, broad-based government through extensive consultations across various sectors and political groups. This new government aims to streamline operations, implement critical programs swiftly, address national debt, enhance resource mobilization, create job opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and combat corruption.

Despite the dissolution, President Ruto assured that government functions would continue without interruption under the guidance of Principal Secretaries and other officials. His vision is to create a lean, cost-effective, and efficient government structure that effectively serves the needs of the Kenyan people.
