In a chilling revelation that has shocked the nation, the Director of Criminal Investigations, Mohammed Amin, confirmed the arrest of Collins Jumaisha Alusa, the prime suspect in the Kware killings, who has confessed to the brutal murders of 42 women.

According to Amin, these murders have been ongoing since 2022, with the latest victim succumbing just days ago, on July 11, 2024.

“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to having lured, killed, and disposed of 42 female bodies at the dumping site, all murdered between 2022 and as recently as Thursday, July 11, 2024,” stated Amin, addressing the press with a grave tone.

“Unfortunately, the suspect alleged that the first victim was his wife, Imelda Judith, whom he strangled to death before dismembering her body and dumping it at the same site.

“From our interrogation, all his victims had been murdered in the same style.”

The arrest of Alusa came following intensive forensic analysis linking him to the crimes, including mobile phone transactions traced back to one of the victims.

He was apprehended at a club in Soweto, Kayole, in the early hours of the morning, where he had gone to watch a football match.

“This arrest marks a significant breakthrough in our pursuit of justice for the victims and closure for their grieving families,” Amin emphasized.

“The suspect was living in close proximity to the Kware dumpsite, where several bodies have been discovered, adding to the heinous nature of these crimes.”

Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja assured the public that investigations into these disturbing killings would be expedited, with a commitment to concluding them within 21 days.

The nation remains in shock and mourning as authorities delve deeper into what is now considered one of Kenya’s most horrific serial killing cases.

The question now looms: who else may have been involved, and how could such atrocities have gone unnoticed for so long?
