The National Assembly has announced a schedule for the vetting of President William Ruto’s latest Cabinet nominees, set to take place from Thursday, August 1, 2024, to Sunday, August 4, 2024.
The vetting sessions will be held daily at the Mini-Chamber, County Hall, Parliament Buildings, starting at 8 am.
The process begins with the National Assembly’s Committee on Appointments, chaired by Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, reviewing at least five nominees each day.
On the first day, Thursday, August 1, 2024, Kithure Kindiki will be the first nominee to face the committee.
He arrived promptly at 8 am, dressed in a navy blue suit and a red-dotted tie, ready for his vetting.
The vetting follows President Ruto’s submission of an additional list of 10 nominees for the role of Cabinet Secretaries.
The Committee will assess these individuals to determine their suitability for the positions.
