Raila Odinga’s Longtime Aide, George Oduor, Passes Away
George Oduor, a longtime aide to former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, has passed away.
Reports confirm that Oduor died on Wednesday evening while receiving treatment at Nairobi Hospital, where he had been admitted for two weeks.
For years, Oduor remained a trusted and familiar figure by Raila’s side, often seen accompanying him as his bodyguard.
His presence was a common sight at the ODM leader’s public events and engagements, making him a well-known figure in political circles.
Following his passing, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Communications Director Phillip Etale expressed his grief, remembering Oduor as a loyal friend who had a significant impact on his life.
“This is one man who stood by me at all costs. I have lost a friend. Big bro. Rest easy, George,” Etale wrote in his tribute.
More details are expected to emerge as family, friends, and political leaders mourn his passing.
