Vera Sidika has pushed back against critics by rejecting claims that her marriage to Brown Mauzo was motivated solely by a desire for children.
Content creator Iam Marwa suggested that Vera Sidika manipulated her ex-husband for the sole purpose of having children, hinting that Vera entered the marriage to fulfill her personal desires.
“She literally used the guy to have kids because she was getting to the red line, now she does this. Time will tell,” Marwa commented.
Responding to Marwa’s remarks, Vera denied the accusations, asserting that Marwa lacked insight into her marriage to make such claims. She further emphasized that Marwa’s statement was constructing a false narrative.
“You were never in the marriage to know what exactly happened so hush!!! If I wanted kids, even sperm banks are an option!! With zero baby daddy drama. And I wouldn’t need to waste 3 years of my life married just to get kids! And what do you mean red line. Dude I’m 34!!! I still have enough time. In fact, I want 1 more at 40!!! And I don’t need marriage for that,” she responded.
Another comment questioned the validity of Vera’s marriage, claiming it lacked authentication by a Sheikh in accordance with Islamic customs.
“Vera was never married to begin with..no Muslim sheikh or kadhi atafunga ndoa between a mulism and a Christian. And if Vera converted for two minutes her side of her family must be present like an uncle or brother. Lakini it’s funny how she did not tell her own mum that she got married…this is fake..let her publicly post her marriage certificate alafu mjue ukweli,” a user identified as Supuu_flani wrote.
In response, Vera affirmed the authenticity of her marriage, stating that it was solemnized by a well-known Sheikh in the country.
She explained that her parents were unaware of the marriage ceremony because they did not hold a formal wedding.
“Been seeing this a lot and I’m tired!!!!! It’s time to set records straight. Clearly if y’all watch Real Housewives of Nairobi u would know I literally brought my original marriage certificate at the reunion and it was verified. Why would U lie about being legally married??? Like is there a reward for marriage that would make me lie about it???? My parents didn’t know I got married coz we didn’t do a wedding ceremony. We did Nikkah with the sheikh & he’s a well known sheikh in Kenya. It happened so randomly and fast,” Vera clarified.
Furthermore, Vera disclosed that she didn’t possess her marriage certificate as her ex-husband took it after their separation.
“During my meeting with my divorce lawyer on RHON I said I don’t have my marriage certificate because my ex hubby took it and went with it. I didn’t have it on me. All I have is a scan not the original document,” she added.
Vera Sidika Mung’asia and Brown Mauzo’s separation was confirmed by Vera on August 30, 2023, following approximately three years together.
Reflecting on their relationship, Vera recalled, “We first met in August 2020, and after tying the knot, I became pregnant with our first child in 2021.”
Despite previous speculation, it wasn’t until Brown Mauzo’s statement on August 30th that their separation was made official, Vera explained.
Vera clarified, “I later confirmed it, and it’s considered a joint decision. Our journey together included the blessing of two children before we decided to part ways.”
