A grisly morning crash at Kibirigwi on the Sagana-Karatina road leaves five feared dead.

A grisly morning accident on the Sagana-Karatina road in Kirinyaga County has left at least five people feared dead.

The crash occurred when a lorry, which was transporting maize flour, collided with two vehicles at Kibirigwi.

Witnesses described the scene as horrific, with the lorry swerving into the path of the cars, leading to a violent collision​.

The accident caused major traffic disruptions, as emergency responders and local residents rushed to the scene to rescue survivors.

The vehicles involved were severely damaged, with one completely crushed upon impact.

The lorry driver has been arrested, and authorities are investigating whether poor visibility or other factors contributed to the incident​.

In the aftermath, local police have stressed the importance of improved road safety measures, particularly in areas with poor visibility.

The tragic crash highlights the need for better traffic enforcement and infrastructure to prevent similar accidents in the future​
