LIVE! President Ruto is currently addressing the nation to respond to concerns raised by Generation Z following their protest and subsequent entry into Parliament during deliberations on the Finance Bill 2024. The President appears visibly upset as he takes the podium, his tone reflecting the gravity of the situation.

“This unprecedented breach of parliamentary security by our youth demands a strong response,” President Ruto begins, his voice tinged with urgency. “While I acknowledge the frustrations of our young citizens, such actions cannot be condoned. The sanctity of our democratic institutions must be upheld.”

He goes on to emphasize the government’s commitment to hearing the voices of all citizens, including the youth, but stresses the importance of respecting parliamentary procedures. “We are a nation of laws,” he declares firmly, “and while protests are a fundamental right, they must be conducted peacefully and within the bounds of legality.”

President Ruto addresses specific concerns raised by Generation Z regarding the Finance Bill 2024, promising to review key provisions and engage in dialogue with stakeholders. “Your concerns have been heard,” he assures the nation, “and we will work together to find solutions that benefit all sectors of society.”

As he concludes his address, President Ruto calls for unity and constructive dialogue moving forward. “Let us use this moment to strengthen our democracy,” he urges, “and to build a future where every voice is heard and every citizen’s rights are respected.”

The nation watches intently as President Ruto’s speech concludes, with reactions from both supporters and critics shaping the ongoing discourse surrounding youth activism and legislative accountability.
